The first day back to school after Christmas break can bring up a lot of emotions. Similar to the first day of school in September. If we can recognize that the worse thing that can happen on Monday is that we could feel an negative emotion, maybe it wont be so scary. We can begin to face that fear. Anxiety is one of the most common. If we can see that it is Anxiety and know that it is OK to feel that emotion then you can begin to see that you can handle it. It is Just Anxiety. You can take your anxiety and put it in your backpack for the day and carry it around with you. It is OK that it is there. You can feel it and recognize it and still keep going on with your day. It is really the worse thing that can happen.
