5 Lies Anxiety is Telling You

Anxiety can make us believe things that are not true. Some common lies that anxiety may tell you:

  1. You're not good enough: Anxiety can make you feel like you're not good enough to succeed or accomplish your goals, even though this isn't true.

  2. Something bad is going to happen: Anxiety can make you believe that something bad is going to happen, even if there is no evidence to support this belief.

  3. You're alone: Anxiety can make you feel like you're all alone, even if you have a strong support system.

  4. You're not safe: Anxiety can make you feel like you're not safe, even if you're in a safe environment.

  5. You can't handle it: Anxiety can make you believe that you can't handle difficult situations or challenges, even though you have the ability to cope.

It's important to recognize when anxiety is telling you lies and to decide if you want to believe them. Believing them can quite often hold you or your teenager back from accomplishing the things that you want.
